I would say Call of duty 4 is better for online ranked matches and halo 3 is better for private games with your friends.

im gonna go for call of duty 4 because halo has got all these made up guns like the energy sword and the plasma rifle there is no such thing,but in call of duty 4 there are real guns they have not been made up,im going for call of duty 4.

It depends on what kind of first person shooter you like... If you prefer realistic games, take CoD4 or if you like SciFi shooter go get Halo3...

COD4 is the best shooter there is right now. Halo is only good b/c Xbox has no good shooters.

Halo 3 > COD4 Better gameplay and vehiciles

Halo 3< COD5 Better graphics and really fun minigames (nazi zombies)

there are no vehicles in COD4....

Also, COD4 is realistic. Halo is fantasy. One is for ages 18+ and the other is for 12 and below

i say halo because it has better guns and u can heal but in call of duty u can prone so i still like halo 3
