Hmm, since Englishmen is a minority here on AG, and the soccer interested might be fewer... Then this is not a world event....
So you should probably not get back next week with nez results. I am sure people will either watch soccer themselves, or find the results on the internet.
Looking forward to it. Its a nice change to Gillette Soccer Saturday. Theres only so much Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling one man can take.
really shouldn't have been here

Why not, football or 'soccer' as the yanks call it is the most widely played sport in the world enjoyed by (literally) billions of people world wide. How is it not a world event again? There have been lots of other threads about other sports which are by the way not as popular as football. You also make the assumption it is exclusively enjoyed by english males. This is not the case. The premiership has massive markets overseas notably China, Japan, South America, Scandanavia.
or find the results on the internet.
Technically this is the internet, now i no longer have to wait for bbc sport to load but can check the forums.
