Isn't that State of the Union supposed to motivate the country and foreshadow the proposed agenda and main points for the year? Don't know if we'll see Obama giving one this year, since most presidents elect don't give one 10 days into their term, but hey, he seems like the man who would just stand up and talk. Iono, I guess the past couple of SofU speeches have been the same, since our country has had the same concerns. If Obama gives one next month, it'll probably focus A LOT on the economy, less on terrorism, lots on bi-partisanship (even though dems. have everything), and reallocation of government money.
I think a time like this is when the State of the Union has the most effect. Besides, its good to hear the president give a synopsis of all the trouble we're in. It should be fun to watch.
