First of all, I'm not going to do mindless and utter incompetent ranting about anime and manga like I have before. I am going to actually put reviews, based on the cleverness, likeliness, and overall greatness of a manga/anime series. I would like to do this weekly, so if you have a certain manga/anime that you would like me to review, simply send me a link of a certain OneManga.com diddly, and I'll read and review it for your pleasure. I'm not going to be doing so much as pointing out the literal faults and loo-poles in the storylines, as I am going to compare and contrast. Anyhoo, make sure that the link you send me is Office Friendly, and moderate cussing is fine by me. I can handle darker things as well, so don't be worried about that.

+++THIS WEEK - Death Note+++
**Warning** this may spoil a couple of moments, and have my hypotheses on what will happen in future times.

I must say I am impressed. I initially bought graphic novels 1-4 for my friend for his b-day and x-mas, and I thought I'd take a peek before I wrapped them. I must say I am hooked. I started reading issue one, and am currently on chapter 3. Through this, I see that the series is predictable, or at least to me. I came to this conclusion by a couple of means in the first few chapters. For instance, when the supposed "L" who is a private super-detective, made a public appearance on the T.V. As soon as the broadcast came on, I reasoned that it was a decoy to see whether or not that "kira" which is currently the nickname of the main character, "Light", could kill from a distance with no contact whatsoever. I was right. However, what I didn't count on, was that "L" had supposedly broadcasted globally, when I later found out it was actually a certain area. The way Tsugumi Ohba worked the story and plot truly amazes me. Really, who would have thought of a moderate plot twist within the first few chapters of a series? The character design is decent, while as some are questionable. The Shinigami (Roughly translated to "Death God", or so I've heard) design isn't as morbid as it is weird. When I first say Ryuk, I just kinda tilted my head and tried to figure out what gender it was (I find it necessary to know a characters gender to better understand it). Light seems to be a little ego-static. Imagining himself as a god to a new realm also brought up another thought, which leads me to my hypothesis about Ryuk saying: "Don't think that any human who's used the death note can go to heaven or Hell", that, plus Lights "Conquest" to be a god of a "new realm" made me think that when Light eventually dies, I think that me might become a Shinigami. Oh well, enough theories, time for fact and reviewing again. The artwork of the Manga is also great. Linework is easy to follow, and there isn't so many details that it looks like one big mess of lines. Concept of the Shinigami and Light is decent, but it seems a little silly when Light picked up the note and killed someone for sh**s and giggles. Still, I'm impressed with the series so far and I recommend it to some people starting out in the Manga fanatisis (yes, it's not a word, I made it up).
