Ahhh something I have been saying for a while now... I am glad other users are bringing it up now too. I think that users should just not get points for comments under a certain amount of words. Because nothing constructive can come out of a 4 word comment. So why get points for anything that small?

As far as spamming on the same game, the 30 second post delay is supposed to help with that.

30 second post doesn't work people just refresh the page after 30 seconds and spam another post.

For now, the flagging tool is very useful against this type of spam. So if you see short, unhelpful, and spammy-type comments, make sure to flag them!

True, but it makes it harder. I am sure there would be even more spamming if that rule was not in place. Personally, I would not have the patience to sit there and spam like that... I am sure it deters some people.

Also 4 points for a comment is absurd. May be 1 point would be more suitable, or 3 for a at least a constructive post?

You only get 2 AP per comment.

I just made a comment and went up from 58 to 62, some kind of bug?

Did you also rate a game?

What I am trying to get at, is if he made a comment, and also rated the game, he would have gotten 2AP for each of those. That would total 4AP. He might just not know you get points for rating games as well.

1 comment per game wat about games like free rider theres alot of maps that i love by the same person now who is DMb enough to spam for AP

ah yes thats it, I didn't know ratings where worth any points.

In my opinion a 30 minutes limit on game comment would almost completely stop spam. Also, it would improve the quality of the comments.

Similar things have been brought up every so often... Time limits, word limits, comment pr. game limits... I don't think reviving this old thread is really worth it to have such a discussion again.
