Some of you might get some hard time with bosses and hard levels on gemcraft.
Here are some hints:
1.You need more levels, for that try to get glowing frames in easy levels.build towers, gems and trow gems you dont want.that will give you amulets that will give you points.
2. Check special efects on gems. For example the purple gem will decrease armor level.so put that gem near the monsters tower.
Heres a list of gems you can put by the monsters tower: purple, cyan, green, lime, blue ( blue combines really good with offensive gems) the rest of the gems you can put where you want to put them.
Note: orange gem steals mana so put that in the beggingin so it can it more monsters and gain more mana per hit.

And I have an advise, too - when I play I boost my mana pool for multiple times (until it reaches 100000-200000), then it grows back so fast that I am never out of it
