Well, currently I'm reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. The Lord of the Rings is excellent if you haven't read it yet. Less classic more modern fantasy a good one would be the Dark Elf Trilogy by R. A. Salvatore. You also can't go wrong with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Hillarious.
Quite simply one of the greatest books of all time. Extremely well written. I am reading a book called The Hot Kid by one of my favourite writers Elmore Leonard. He writes great thrillers.
you should read the eragon books. they are pretty good i heard. i read the first one, but not the second. couldnt finish it. just bring like a jacked up ipod and listen to it. or sleep.
