There is going to be another halo but it's called Halo: ODST. The difference with this game is your guy is not as strong and not as powerful so when you fight brutes it will be much harder (GO HALO!).
nope bungie said that halo 3 was the last installment... but there is going to be a Halo 3:Recon you play as a ODSC Officer not Master Chief and its all pretty much stealth not like in halo 3 guns'a'blazin you start off with silenced SMG's
The reason there will be no Halo 4 is cause Bungie said to Microsoft that they will sew them if they make another Halo game. So Bungie is making Halo: ODST (orbital drop shock trouper) which is it whole own story not a expansion.
i seriously doubt they'll make a 4. i mean, recon is coming out but it's more of an expansion, and halo wars is a prologue, set 20 years before halo 1. back during the fall of reach.
1. its called halo: odst 2. its not more of an expansion, it is an expansion that gives a whole new campaign, 6 new maps and a chance for tons more achievments that lead to new armour the expansion alone is a reason why not to make halo 4. even without halo wars i still don't think one would ever exist
I'm pretty sure that bungie owns the Halo name and franchise. I'm also not going to believe what they said about not making a fourth, as companies do that all the time (like Star Wars:BF3, Half-Life 3 or DOOM 4.). Halo Wars is a prolouge taking place 20 years before the first game, shortly before the fall of reach (those of you you've read the books should know that.). Halo 3: ODST is a stand alone game, not an expansion, which takes place directly after you leave the city in mexico as Master Chief in Halo 3. I've heard rumors that Halo 4 will be another prequel, revolving around the story of the Fall of Reach book, another rumor about it taking place a few hundred years later, when he and Cortona are finally found and they are thrown into a Covenant civil war, where you play as master chief alongside a decendant of the heretic. There's one more I've heard where your found a few hundred years later but then brought back to earth and then help to train the new Spartan 3 program like the newer book (cant remember the name)
Just think what would Halo be like in the past? Just the same I would think just different places to explore and more/maybe better guns to choose from. It's a 50/50 chance that they are going to make halo 4 cause they want to focus on new games that they might make. If there was a Halo 4 then it would be a huge success cause everyone who likes Halo (mostly everyone) will get this game and play it and I can just imagine what it will say when it tell you how many people are on live. If this game was in the past then we would know the whole story to how master chief became who he is know. I think that if Halo: ODST is a huge success then Bungie might make more, I dont know this but I am just guessing. Yes Bungie does own the name of the game. The reason they dont want Microsoft to help anymore is cause Bungie only needed them for design and a little help with the story but now they realize that they can do it on there own which is awesome. I am going to be happy either way cause both game would/will be awesome.
srry im telling the same story again (page 6) but i really believe that there just will be a new story featuring the Masterchief and Courtana.
At the end of Halo 3 on legendary you see the Master Chief dropping on a unknown planet (just search at youtube at Halo 3 legendary ending). i think that there will be a Halo 4 but i wouldnt be named Halo 4, but more like *title* a sequel to the Halo trilogie.
I didnt heard about Halo ODST before, but what i read so far at this forum it looks like an improved version of Halo 3.
