I've fought him again and again and always die. How do you win? Must you kill him or get him down to a certain amount of health? Also any particular strategies please list.
the baron realy isn't the toughest boss that you'll fight. the key ot this battle is to stay alive. to do this, you can just set veradeax on phalanx mode, and he'll just keep healing. Another thing to do is to keep the Baron stunned as much as possible so that he can't heal himself or cast debuffs on you. the reason that you want to stay alive is beacause at certain parts of the battle, he will get a debuf called "holy scars" and your damage will be in the thousands easily. at this point, pound him with everything you've got. if you dont' kill him the first time, then don't worry because the scars come back periodically throughout the battle.
me and my brothers are all different types, but we decieded it is easiest with the psychological: attack him with the attack haunt first, then use traumatize,when he gets up use traumatize(make sure haunt and traumtize are at the max levels) by the time he gets up again his focus will be at zero, if you didn't know, when he gets it below 5 he brings it back up to 100 for three turns but loses 3000 health per turn. During that time traumatize him so he can't attack, now just try to take his health down a little by attacking, when you can deplete his focus again repeat what you have done and he will be defeated quickly without a fret that you will die at all.
while in bioligical and the hydralic, look for some abilities for deletion of focus, takes longer but still easily possible and more difficult to stay alive
Simple. Just re-spec and immediately get maxed out disrupt (integrety also helps)- that's all you need. Put it as many times as you can on your action bar and spam it on him every turn. Use leading strike should your focus run low. That's about it.
Try Out destroying his focus with Disrupt (Only in Bio) and them the barin actives his power for paid any parts of his life. Them later will appear a yellow magic called by "Holy Scars" He will receive additional damage.
