Bias posts? Your asking for difference on 2 things, Of course there's a bias, seeing as you have to pick one over the other.
But anyway, Runescape Ftw <3, It has less players (Thus not being so afflicting as WoW, 10 mill Pplz), Its got new Graphz, Its easier to play "here and there", and if you don't suck and you learn how to beast+get rich it can be rather fun if you can make an online friend. +++
I don't play Runescape, I personally hate it, but I have played both and I'd choose RS anyday over WoW.
PS: WoW is expensive, but thats irrelevant, considering people come in all shapes, sizes, and budgets.
WoW is more appealing to me than Runescape for many reasons. I'll put them in order of MY importance.
#1: WoW has better play style. I like having abilities, not waiting for my character to bloop something to death while eating lobsters. Also, classes are important to me. Its kinda dumb if your gonna pull out a bow, then your sword, and shoot them with fire at the same time.
#2: Technical reasons. Runescape has HORRIBLE sounds, and, due to it being on Java, the framerate can only be so good. WoW has more time and money put into it, and 15$ a month is worth it. Thats like 2 hours of work at minimum wage (here in alaska)
#3: Game mechanics. I like how on WoW, a level 50 cant kill a level 80. Also, a variety of in game abilities allows different play experiences all over. On WoW, you get fireball, frostbolt, ice lance, and like 30 other spells if your a mage. On Runescape, its pretty much the same deal, but the rune system is stupid. It costs more money to cast spells then you make.
Basically, both are great games. I'm not criticizing one or the other, just saying my opinion and presenting facts as to why my opinion is the way it is. I play WoW still, and I love that game. I can understand why some people may enjoy Runescape more (it is a less complex game) and I respect that. WoW is always going to better IMO, though.
Is this a joke? runescape vs. wow?? Runescape takes no skill to play just time. WOW actually takes skill and you develope it over time. Runescape you just click around for countless hours thinking ur good lol. Runescape + hours of play time = umm idk a higher lvl toon and a bunch of time wasted seeing as there is no skill needed to play the game. WOW + hours of play time = Increase in SKILLS need to develope urself as a good player and become more noticed and become a part of a group of other SKILLED people and together take over ur server lol. Sorry if i did bash Runescape there lol i was just a little shell shocked that someone wanted to compare Runescape with WOW... Really there isnt much to compare. WOW is overall a better game. Its geared more towards gamers who are more into gaming. Runescape is geared towards people who just like to enjoy playing an rpg and not have to develope any skill to keep themselves interested in the game. However i am aware that runescape does take some thought to play but like i said it is almost no comparison to WOW. Id go into detail of why WOW crushes Runescape but Annihalation covered that already. However just like every other game out there it just depends on person prefernces, im sure if i went on some hardcore Runescape forum i wouldnt even be able to get a work out about how WOW is better lol. Its safe to say on this forum that WOW is so much better than Runescape. I also might add that i am a WOW player and also a member of a guild that is ranked in the top 100 guilds in the country lol so obviously i sided with WOW .
They both suck to me. runescape is messed up, im mean who want to say " yeah i have a mining lvl of 87" i mean who cares, who is impressed that you wasted hours on a studid games watching a pickaxe hit rocks. if you play this game, get a life. WoW is ok, but it cost money. in that game you actually need skill. by the way if you spend way to much time on it its similer to runescape so the message applies. get a life
personally you cant compare the two because ones a java game and ones a pc game but i think WOW is better if you have money but if you have money you should be playing halo 3, Gears of war 1&2,MGS4 and so on.
WoW is the best cmputer game ive played its awesome i hate runscape!! well anyway that wizards101 game that came out looks like it came from [b]WoW [/b} so y did they make a game that looks so much like wow? Who really makes a game based off another game? Its so cheap! the only thing i hate about WoW is that u have to pay like a rediculos amount of money! why cant they make the game free? it really should, dont ya think? plz tell me ur answer on my armor page! In my opinion Runescape really sucks compared to WoW but since i don't have any money i would say Runescape in WoW you have to pay every month just to keep your account alive
