the hydra is very weak to poison damage and the hydra is very weak to physical damage

i beat it at level 17, no problem at all.
just use infect on the fire claws: they instantly die. after that, use destroy and withdrawl on the hydra.

If you are a Psychological, this is an insanely easy fight. Using any electrical spell on the two fire claws will instantly hit them for 27,000 damage or more, and kill them. Do the same to the Hydra for high damage, but not enough to one shot it. If you are not, then this is a hard one.
