Can someone tell me how breeding works?
Breeding is sort of confusing at first especially with all the different messages you can get...hope this quick paragraph thingy will help yah ;D
~Okay so you have a male and female dragon, you can breed them together and try to get a clutch of eggs, the maximum eggs you can get is 4, but you may only keep 1 of these, the rest(if any) are auto-abandoned. If you do not choose one one will be automatically picked for you and the rest will be auto-abandoned. After you breed the two dragons both must wait 1 week total before they can breed again with any. Also just because your egg had a gold as a father, doesn't mean you might get a gold from that dragons, lineage plays NO part in the current eggs produced, it's just for show, and increasing trade value.
Sometimes, you don't always get eggs though. When you attempt to breed, you could get a message saying they attempt to breed but no eggs are produced, a fail. If your breeding fails, you must still wait 1 week to breed them again. However, there is one message you should look out for when you breed;
"These dragons refuse to even get near each other."
This means no matter how much you try, wish, and hope for these two dragons are not going to breed and produce eggs. And you have to wait 1 week before you can breed the two as well =P
Oh yeah;
Metallic x Metallic = FAIL!
Metallic x Common = Maybe =)
Did that help?
There's just no wings.
It grew wings when I refreshed =D Yay I helped, I think.
okay i can't take it, i officially quit, all my eggs died xD
Did you post them in a hatchery?
Agreed. It was suggested in the DC forums as well, letting the eggs unfold rather than crack... But got turned down, I think...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it =P
Imagine it soaked in water and ripping, so it looks like it's 'cracked' at the edges but it's really not, if you want some sort of technical back up for the ripping thing...
Argh! why won't any of my breeding attempts work!?!
Some dragons are
really picky(Fog dragons tend to be, whereas Pinks tend to be great breeders). If you get the message "These dragons refuse to even get near each other.", then they will never breed, try another pair. It takes patience when it comes to breeding.
My Dino hatched, but I froze it at this cause the hatchies are much better...

Grrr....hatch already >=/
