Concerts I've been to: -Foo Fighters Dusseldorf ISS DOME -Farin Urlaub Dusseldorf Phillipshalle -Slipknot, Machine Head, Children of Bodom Dusseldorf Phillipshalle -Feuertal Festival Hardtbuhne Wuppertal -HammerFall, Sabaton Oberhausen Turbinenhalle
Well, I haven't beeen to anything worth mentioning in quite a while, but I am going to see AC/DC live in August, I also have the chance to see both Nazareth, and The Headpins in July, and maybe even go to The Tragically Hip in September.
In terms of concerts, I'm really hoping for 3 things right now:
1) That Chickenfoot rolls through Alberta on their recent tour. 2) That Joe Walsh will embark on a solo tour after the current Eagles tour is over. 3) That the surviving members of Led Zeppelin will go on tour once again, sure they could have Jason Bonham as the drummer, but I think some other good matches for Bonzo's style would be Chad Smith or Simon Kirke.
I'm old enough to remember being at the free concert in Hyde Park, London in 1970! It featured Eric Burdon and War, John Sebastian (Lovin' Spoonful) and Canned Heat amongst others. It was all 'Peace and Love' hippies and 'illegal substances' in those days!
Just remembered!! I can actually go even futher back to November 1963!! My first ever concert (I was 13 years old) The Beatles at Newcastle City Hall... I saw them, but don't remember ever hearing a single note over the sound of thousands of screaming girl fans... I actually won the ticket in a newspaper 'spot the difference' competition.
My first concert was... actually pretty recent and I went to see DISTURBED. It was awesome. I don't remember any of the names of the other bands. XD And then earlier this year I saw Saving Abel, Papa Roach, Avenged Sevenfold, and Buckcherry. They were all really good (especially Papa Roach, the lead singer came out into the stands and I *literally* was fighting someone off so she wouldn't go tackle him), but Buckcherry. The singer was obviously high and he just sucked. A lot of people left during them.
