Hello I know this is a hot-topic issue and just wanted to get everyone's opinions and views on it. I for one am a believer of global warming. I do believe of course that there is a natural cycle with the sun that warms the earth, but that humans producing so much greenhouse gases such as Co2 and methane are going to cause global warming to have cataclysmic events. I just wanted to share with you why i believe this is real and how it's caused so maybe you might believe in it too(Warning: I am not trying to force you to change your beliefs but am trying to help you see my point of view so please don't say I am.
Global warming is caused when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, etc. trap the suns rays so they can't reflect off of earth so the heat gets trapped and does not leave. This is believed why Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system.By driving large cars that produce many c02 gases along with factories and no trees in the rainforest or other forests that can absorb the c02 gases they pile up in the atmosphere and form a bubble that traps heat on earth.
1. temperatures have been rising 4 degrees fahrenheit per year.
2. Ice caps melting

Effects of global warming:
1.global warming will melt the ice caps leaving polar bears, seals, walruses, and other marine mammals without land to live on killing them off.
2.the melting polar ice caps will then raise sea levels flooding parts of the earth.
2.The warming will theoretically stop the Atlantic oceanic conveyor belt that brings warm water up to the northern hemisphere. This means theoretically that the northern hemisphere will freeze will the southern will burn to a crisp.

-thank you for reading and I'd like to see what you think so please leave comments(remember Im not trying to change your opinion just help you see mine.)

NOOOOOOO NOT AGAIN hahahha i heard enough from al gore. I do agree we have a problem. But im so tired of people arguing about it and i am entirely done listening to al gore. especially when his movie did not even talk about global warming half the time, he just cried about how his son got in an accident and how disappointed he was when he lost the election. But i did get his message at the very least and i hope i never have to watch it again.

Ummm marine mammals are things tht swim in the ocean, have fins like fish, but most have lungs...and also give birth to live animals such as whales, dolphins, and etc...so there will be marine mammals living but the other im dont know much about so I can't argue

i think you guys should read Michael Crichton's book, State of Fear. how do you know the ice caps are melting? a "scientist" said so. same with the temperature thing. anyways, the amount of CO2 we release is so minuscule compared to what is already out there. we aren't doing very much at all. and wouldn't you think if rays reflect off one side of a gas, they'd reflect off the other side as well?

There is a HUGE global warming thread already created, so please post all further posts there. Thanks!
