Who all have heard that the worlds supposed to end in Dec. 2012. What do u think of it. And where do u think you would be then. I think its kind of depressing, but then again these kind of things have been said millions of times before. I would be in my second year of colledge though.=(
I think that if the world were to end in 2012, it could be because of the president. Think about it: How long does a presidential term last for? 4 years. What's the date right now? Dec. 29, 2008! and four years from now is 2012. So, in theory, the President could end the world as we know it! Way to go, Barack!
However, the only reason they say there's a doomsday is because someone else said there would be one: The Mayan Calendars. The ONLY reason there may be an apocalypse then is because the mayan calendar ends on the year 2012. The reason that it would end then could be that the mathamaticians of the Mayans could have gotten lazy, and decided that that was enough. I mean, really, 2012 years? We all know that we're all going to die at the end of '09 anyways....
I have heard of it, but I don't believe it has any more significance they any date you might pick at random. Heck, if the sun went nova as you were reading this, you wouldn't know it for eight minutes, so maybe the world is going to end today. Could happen...
