Wow...there are a lot of Runescape fans here, I love it too (I cant wait for summoning) but people tell me I should play a "real" MMO.
Its hard to pick a favourite game as we have a lot.
I like RPGS, so maybe the FF series (but i'm not a scary fangirl!) or something similar.
But if I had to pick my favourite game that I've played this year I think it'd be Super Paper Mario... but by the time I've actually posted this reply I'll probably have thought of another!

As I said earlier there are way too many games in this world to pick favorites. My favotrite games are probably kindom hearts one and 2. Well two of my favorites, at least.
