Well like people have said it's almost inevitable that there's going to be a ps4. There will also most likely be new Nintendo and Xbox consoles, because the goal of video game console companies ius to make money and how do you make money? You make a new product and jack the prices up as high as you can then gradually decrease the price. There's also the supply/demand factor in there. After they've made a console and there's a demand for another one, the companies can easily make the prices high for a new one as long as demand is still high. In the end I think video game consoles are going to continually expand in generations unless there's a major stock market crash where not as many people will be able to afford them, then the production of a new console will only be delayed until after the stock market begins to rise again in this hypothetical scenario. There will be some type of new Playstation model which will probably be named ps4 since they're not very creative with their names.
i dont know if it will come or not probibly will but theres bean talk of sony droping it with the 8,000 people they fired do to money loss and the reson it is talk is because it is the lowest selling systm of ps3 , wii, and xbox360. because of the xbox 360 it sells bad because alot more people prefer it and alot more people went and bought the wii over both example in game informer during just november they said
2.04 million wii's were sold 836,000 xbox 360's 378,000 ps3's
They shouldn't make it for atleast 3 years, they should let the PS3 prosper a bit more. That way people dont get mad. Cause they probably got their Ps3 (whoever does) not that long ago and now a PS4? That would cause madness.
I heard that too! But the problem is that Sony/Microsoft want to continue with the current gen consoles for another few years. So really Xbox720, Wii2, PS4 will most likely be on wait.
