Hey folks! I'm from Scotland and we love to celbrate Hogmanay (new year) big time! Being new member to Armor (officially) I thought I'd post a ne thread where we could all wish each other a happy new year when it gets to us! Have a good one; All the best AND Start as you mean to continue!
Ahh i see another thread about new years. i made one in the tavern.
Basically the aim is to go out, get lashed, not remember it in the morning. All of us at 4 sqn are going to the local and pretty much taking it over. It should be good. Then we will go back to the mess and continue into the morning.
Really? well i'm not drinking in the U.K anytime soon!
Geordies aint that bad actually, neiither is Newcastle. Cept their accents, its like another language. Its London you need to watch out for. O and of course glasgow.
Oh fudge, I should certainly watch out then! That's what they make the Irish look like. On TV they portray people from the U.K as upper-class, fancy, intellegent people. Accept when they show the SAS of course, that's just different for some reason.

Ironic when the UK is a poorer country than America.
Yes often the British stereotype is of people who went to the right schools and speak the Queen's English or of the jolly cockney. Most Americans haven't traveled and dont know any better. Its quite fun to take advantage of really. My friend once told some American tourists he was Prince Charles and they believed him.
