This isn't something asking for help rating games. I am asking do you rate games harshly or weakly I think I rate games to highly to easily as most of the games I have rated are above 7/10. What about you guys.
With 5.0 being the completely average game in every way, I give out my ratings as I see fit comparing to what I would averagely expect of a flash game...
I have given out both 0.5 and 10, but mostly it's between 3.5 and 8.5... Unless it's great or horrible.
I have rated pretty much the entire spectrum, though I guess I average a little high, at around a 6.5
If a game is really bad, I generally don't like to leave a comment; if I don't have something constructive to say, then I don't say anything, but I will still rate. I've left a few 0.5's in my day.
I tend to vote games between 6.5 and 9.5. I'm an easy going gamer, enjoying almost any game. But I still take all things in to consideration before rating. As Zoph has said, unless its horrible, I tend to vote high. Just play the game and give it what you believe it deserves.
Well, first I play the game, that's what half of the people don't do; they usually go with what other users have put, or just rate randomly. Next, I look for its good points, its bad points, what it excels in, what it needs to improve on, and if there is anything that needs to be fixed, glitch wise. After that, I compare it with other games, rated higher and rated lower, then finally, I give it the appropriate rating it deserves. This is also how I compile my reviews.
I rate games fairly high, but I do comment on what needs improving. So even if I don't rate the game too harshly, I'll still comment on what needs improvement.
