Well as we have seen throug the years Christanity have been a religion most people in the world belive in.... but something those who belive in that religion is that it have been a plague too.... well im not 100% against christanity but consider it, think about it.
i don't think its a plague but it did cause suffering for those who weren't christian or me if i run into those really really overly religious guys who can be annoying .
Screw all of that. Because if you're not a Christian you just think that. Christianity is not a religion. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. People call it a religion because calling it a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is "olitically incorrect".
Way to call out all non xians with your hate of anyone different than you. A few guys said some bad things about the xians, so you assume no one else can possible understand your religion. Oh and I really doubt anyone who is xian thinks that xianity is NOT a religion... you know... seeing as how the U.S. is a xian nation, stating that is IS a religion. Good luck fighting that. Most religions are just trying to be recognized so they aren't persecuted.
I don't mind people being christians, but I get very annoyed when christianity forces itself into my life. Just think about the laws based on christian rules, or simply the "obscene" tag put on sex, nudity, and such. If christians want to deny their animal nature, it's not a problem. But I don't want them to deny mine.
Also, in my country we have the pope. If I get a serious sickness which can be solved only by extremely recent medical methods which affect my body cells and such (I can't translate it into english, else I would), it would be forbidden, because it would interfere with "god's decision", and I'd die, even though I'm a non-believer.

First xians? My gosh someone has problems. Also most people in fact I'd say 98% of people who aren't christians understand our religion. Christianity is a religion yes, but it's about a personal relationship with Jesus the religious part just helps us in our walk. Jokes aside, The proper definition is part of a bigger concept whih would take way too long to explain properly, might give it a try and sum it up.
Without a religion, we are animals. That's our base, for those who don't have different believings. We are of the social kind of animals, with a superior brain (Let's skip the philosophical part about that). Everyone, if we want to be free, has the right to live with his own decisions, but by keeping that base intact. Because it's part of our nature, because it makes our mind relaxed and satisfyied.
Now people always say that then we would have the right to kill each other pointlessly and such. But social animals don't do that. They kill only for feeding purposes or for self-defence.
If someone wants to break that base and deny it, it's fine for me. If someone first breaks his own, and then MINE, without my approval, then I have the rights to fight back. But that's not possible.
Because in today's world christianity put psychological barriers (I'm talking about european and american countries mainly) on everyone. Sex is a taboo, killing for self-defence punishable.
This is what I wanted to mean with affecting others. If they didn't, I wouldn't have had anything wrong against them. Seriously.
Christianity didn't put a taboo on sex. Christianity put a taboo on sex with animals, people of the same gender, people related to you, or people with whom you are not married. If God did create everything good in his sight, sex is something good, not evil.
As for killing in self-defense, I am not sure. The Bible does say that killing unintentionally is not a sin.

I know I should be clearer. There's just so much to say. Before the christians arrived, everyone could go around naked or showing whatever he/she liked. Just look at the ancient Greece, or ancient Rome. Plus, it denies fetishes, and claims that sex should be done just to make children. Now, I'm glad that in today's world their influence is getting weaker and weaker on atheist communities. But we are far from being free.
And killing, yes, it indeed says that. But if I shoot to a burglar who's in my house, trying to attack me, and by law I'm allowed to keep weapons in my home, I could be punished nonetheless. That could be right for a christian, but not for everyone. And still it's part of our laws. (I'm obviously talking about Italy and the other european countries I frequented, it may change in other territories)

All I can say is, that they're quite irritating, but I wouldn't call them a plague. It also depends in which kind of christian you are, church, how you were raised, etc. Some christians accept gay, some do not.
