I Think this movie is for people that really, want to say about McDonald's being terrible. [not saying if it is or isn't] Its in my opinion that not everyone eats McDonalds three times a day and if they do they truly need to rethink life, and what they are eating. Truly McDonalds lacks...but I don't think it teaches bad nutrition I mean come on if you decide to go eat at McDonald's thats on you. Its what you decide to scarf down. No one makes a person, come on people have to have self control and stop blaming it on the cereal company, or the milk company or McDonalds or Arby's or whoever...Yes America has an obesity problem but its because of a lack of self control, a person can cook themselves a burger and fries three times a day and become obese or gain a little weight. Honestly, it reminds me of those parents who sued a cereal company because they advertised on Nickelodeon, yes kids will want food that's shiny or sparkly or sweet but its your job as a parent to guide them and say no, especially if a kid is five or so...you help control their weight. Have a little self-control.
Discussion Points: 1.Should people have more self control and stop blaming it on companies?
sry for another post... But have u guys ever eaten mcdonalds??? anyone on here? well anyways i used to eat the big macs XD... and they tasted wonderful... but then 2 hours later began the worst feeling in my life... I felt like my insides were gonna explode because they hurt so much. Like ya its good except for the nasty grease and fat and stuff they put in it. It might just be me, but i eat wendy's and im ok... I eat A and W and im fine... I eat burgerking and i kinda get a stomach ach... but thats about it. I cant understand how someone can shove so much in there stomach of those nasty burgers. Also i think that narrowing the drive thru wouldn't do much cuz there going in cars. Instead they should take out the Drive thru entirely, making people have to walk inside. Then make the doors narrow, only allowing the kinda obese to get thru lol, then there would be a huge fight to lose weight XD.

I agree...then again haven't touched one since i was half way through one and my friends like you know thats like cow balls *ack*
Eat at macdonalds one time a month if you want to. It's not healthy, but it won't ruin your life. Of course, eating macdonals once a weeks is very dangerous, but I see junk food like a pleasure from time to time, like a gift in special ocassions. Of course, I also see this in any other restaurant food. If you just got married, you're not going to macdonalds, but if you got an B+ on your test, why not spend a bit and get a bit sick, eating a bigmac? Of course, there are many other and better things people can eat, for the same prize, but eating junk food from time to time has no problem at all, I think.
Not to just jump in here, but i agree with the first post, the majority of the time overweight people just lack self control in this aspect. But everyone has something they lack it in. Still I think we should have some sort of weight loss government program...
Correct me if I seem harsh but why does the government have to deal with that? Isn't that an individual/family problem?
I think obesity is a bigger problem today than any other time in history no matter what country you're in.
Except most African and Asian countries, including the Indian subcontinent. Which would account for ~80% of the world's population!
From the literature I've read, the issues of obesity can be summarised as such:
* Multinational corporations with profit agenda. Solved by making healthy options so sexy you'll lose money by not cashing into it.
* Bad habits starting young. Solved by putting the onus back onto parents...which is a toughie.
* The land of plenty. Solved by...hm. A giant cultural revolution of ethical vegetarianism which causes the collapse of the meat market? I dunno.
* TMI. Solved by heavy, overpowering, crushing propoganda and indoctrination. And lots of empowering reality TV shows, apparently. I hope you realise I was kidding on the latter count.
* Living beings like short term gains over long term discipline. There's no real solution to this one.

I used to eat at Maccy Ds twice a week as a teenager. It probably didnt do me much good, but i played lots of sport and ate pretty well at home. Its all about balance. If you eat fast food and arent physically active and eat mostly junk food, then of course it is dangerous, but not for all people.
I find myself healthy eating homemade food all the time. I eat a restaurants rarely - usually with my friends and sit at the computer for a lot of my spare time.
and sit at the computer for a lot of my spare time.
As Woody said, it's really about a balance. Eating a tiny amount but never exorcising (pun intended) probably isn't very healthy, either.
This also brings up an important issue: Is society wrong to make fun of overweight people? The peer pressure might help them lose weight, but my sources tell me that harassment is wrong.

I think that people make fun of people who are different than other people or the 'norm'.Not saying that its right or the people who make fun of overweight people are REALLY insecure about themselves.
Generally it is someones own fault for being fat (yes you can blame the parent sor glands) There for it is ok to bully them ( to an extent). It is pathetic and pointless to bullt someone about something they can't change but weight isn't one of them. On the whole balance of things from a personal view I eat rubbish, the closest I get to sport is playing Football Manager and the only exercise I get is flicking the kettle on (and the torture of cycling to school) paradoxically I am "Severley under weight". I guess all the fat goes to my arteries instead of under my skin. The body is such a complicated mesh of systems exercise and a good diet doesn't cut keeping it in shape.
Coming from Nigeria where you can see people dying all around you from hunger every day it seems unjust. I know it is a slightly illogical argument, as its not like the food the fat don't eat will go straight to htese people, but when you have seen people who are truly in need of food, it is hard not to despise fat people.
obesity is a problem but fast food isnt the only factor i eat fast food a lot im not fat. but i hate MC Donald's its horrible. i like good old fashioned burgers
