There is no Kingdom heart 3, altough two prequels are coming out, one on the ds and another on the psp. There is no official announcement for a console game.

Actually, there are three games coming up.
One for the DS, i think it is called 287/38 days or something like that.

Then the one that doodger says about the psp, but i haven't heard of that one.

And then one for the PS3, it seems like it's going to have something to do with knights and i don't know what.

yaq i no and ya there may not be an official anouncement but the ending of 2 was a pretty good clue

The series is pretty good, but they always leave you hanging at the end.

nvrm i found out its gona be for wii only which means they lost alt of people
but i also heard they might, MIGHT make it multiplatform

They lost less people than if they made it Playstation 3 exclusive

Has the story line not been finished?

Apparently Kingdom Hearts 2 finishes most of the story that we know of, though I think the Kingdom Hearts prequels are going to add up some unknowns that are going to later be dealt with in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Kingdom Hearts 2 ends with Sora and the gang getting a letter from the king...almost ominously foreshadowing a sequel.
