A lot of talk about mods and the like just now, just wondered if-:

1. Has anyone turned down the chance to be a mod?

2. Would you turn down the chance? I yes, why?

Many people don't realize that being a moderator involves a lot of responsibility and work.

Imagine one day your comment box suddenly flooded by 200 new messages such as "You need to ban xxxxxx. He is mean!" or "U DELETED MY ACCOUNT!!! U SUKK!!!! AG SUXX!!!!! I HATE YOU!!!!!" or incessant "Can I be a moderator??" or "Hey! Why don't you give me any merits??"

Some people also have lives beyond AG, and they may not always have time to clean out the forums, and often people leave because they just don't have the time for the forums. Sometimes they also get burned out.

Oh he always makes a good point. :P

Alas, as Iq said, with great power comes great responsibility. Most people can't imagine how many comments you would get. Strop has even closed his comments.

As to answering your question (Doh...) I would decide on whether the time is right for me. I have a life, and so does everybody else. Moderators magically find loopholes in time to come on here. There's work and school to go to, family to feed, pets to take care of, and your own body to take care of.
Depending on what my basic agenda is at the moment, then I would decide.

I think DragonMistress gave up her moddage on account of being too busy, I could be wrong though. I dont know if anyone has straight up said no. I wouldnt be able to be active enough anyway as i go away for months on end without internet so i would say no.

I now that I think about it I would turn it down because these guys above me pursuaded me. And IqAndreas should have a merit.

*Gasp* Two words! *Faint*
Yes, I overreact. :P

Any more opinions? I enjoy a good debate.

Fun to answer 50 comments every 5 minutes? Fun to answer every flame and question thrown at you?

People that go on and on about how much of a drag it would be to me just try to portray themselves as mature in the eyes of their AG peers but its BS i think. I think that if they were asked no doubt they would say yes.

As I stated in another half way similar thread, I would turn down the offer, at least for now. I am not skilled enough, and I am way too mean to be a mod.

with great power comes great responsibility

Is the catchphrase of old uncle Ben. If you missed it, don't worry, they'll say the line, again and again and again~

Oh, and that happen.

Well if someone asked me when I finsih school/college about 7 years from now I might accept the job.Now no!Why?I feel I am unexperienced at being a mod I am 13.If I was a mod I would be stressed out over 1000 comments a week, heck I have school and I am barely on because of school. Its a big responsibility too.
