Are there no fans in this community about this epic upcoming RTS;...Said by the ancients to be the very EPITOME of the genre?
Through what seems like generations of development by Blizzard, it seems Starcraft II is about to enter the Beta phase (Though date still unknown, it seems though the team is mostly devoted to single player so the majority of the multi-player, (Which is what the team wanted to focus primarily on for competitive gaming, since Starcraft is actually a major sport in North Korea)should be completed). And they have a lot of work with the single player with the whole trilogy thing and all.
The latest news on the project is with the Dark Templar, in which fans are asked to vote for which model they like better, or the FAR better option of having BOTH models and it spawn one of the two randomly when you build a Dark Templar.
Smallbones, no one in Blizzard EVER said Starcraft II was suppose to be released last year.

That's a false rumor that seems to be spreading, I think it's because of the whole Vaporware thing that it started.
Oh, and Infested Terrans ARE in the game on the Zerg's side along with Banelings, it was confirmed a while ago they were back. They were actually going to add infested Protoss as well until people said it didn't make any sense because of the lore.
Starcraft should come out later this year. The date is uncertain, but blizzard definately has a lot of the first part done (there are going to be 2 additional expansions afterward).
