I've been seeing on the news and in newspapers about the legacy that Bush will leave, if he's leaving one at all.
Discussion Points:
1. Will Bush leave a legacy? If so do you think its good or bad?

The legacy I feel Bush will be leaving...Is being the most hated or near-next most hated President in the history of the United States.

Only time will tell, he could prove to be one of the best presidents we've ever had or one of the worst.

I meant like, 50 yearsish in the future, we don't know what his acts will affect in the long run.

I think he will be seen as a bad president. Opinion polls show he is the most unpopular after Richard Nixon. Him taking the US and Afghanistan is not deemed as popular. His general media image of being an idiot doesnt help either. I do not think history will be particularly kind to Bush.

I said this efore and i will say it again. I think bush was a good president. The media made him look like the bad guy when disasters happened. he just served in an unlucky 8 years

Somers, you might be right, you might be wrong. President Bush does get the blame for a lot of things most likely not his fault, as a nation we tend to believe the president has way more power and influence in government then he really does. We must also remember we do not have the information that he does or the pressure on us that he does. In all reality we can not judge him too harshly intil we have at least tried a position like his. He is far from a great president, but when you look at the competition he had (Gore) and the fact he does not have the power we think he does and credit him with, we can't say too much. I shall be interested to see what history books say about him in the near future, and wonder what historians choose to include and leave out.

In what way were the events in his term "unlucky"? Few of his actions affect me, except afghanistan and iraq. but still, perhaps the media in Britain is biased to show his bad side (Daily Mail newspapers for the win), he is the leader of the United States of America the self appointed greatest country in the world and as such he must take responsibilty. The captain always goes down with his ship.

Wow pretty idiotic historians then, obviously they don't care about the long term effects, or really the short term for that matter, in fact your proably lying.
