I remember when having a first-round bye actually meant something. Apparently, this post-season, it does not.
Only Pittsburgh (The #2 seed in the AFC) advanced after the divisional playoffs this weekend. They were the only team to advance after getting a first-round bye during Wild-Card Weekend. It seemed a bad omen when they had their game AFTER Baltimore beat Tennessee 13 - 10, after Arizona beat Carolina 33 - 13, and even after Philly beat the New York Giants 23 - 11. All those games were won by 4th and 6th seeds, and so everyone was looking for San Diego to beat Pittsburgh, and the other games had fallen. But, Pittsburgh pulled it out against the troubled Chargers 35 - 24.
Finally, a normal playoff game in this weird post-season.
i totally agree with you about this strange post-season. it's sort of a guilty pleasure for me though. this is the first non-predictable post-season in a while.
who do you think is gonna win it all?
im going with the ravens. what the heck, this post-season is already screwy lol
