Stabbing people

also because people DID use bayonets in World War 2.

Bayonets gave the user a gun lenghth of stabbing an enemy. This is much more useful than running right up to some1 and stabbing them with a knife. The bayonet is as useful as the gun it is attached 2.

FYI bayonts were rarely used in WW2 (in the European theatre at least). Many American and British soldiers didnt have to fix bayonets once throughout their entire service.

It is like a spear. But the knife is like...A knife you know.Short.Bayonet is an important thing when you have 0 ammo.Or when someone tries to back-knife you,if he misses, bayonet is faster than a knife. You can own at melee fight.

Lol you say that like you know everything about world war two. Any way yes the Americans may have not used bayonets that much but we did. The jap's used them the most, as you see in the game lol.

Hardly any soldiers would get killed by bayonets in WWII, as you would be shot down long before you even got close to them. But in COD5, it makes it pretty fun, to add in that element of life or death between you and another chap.

I like it, but I don't. I mean, I would rather get a suppressor or a scope on a gun rather than a bayonet because those things are more useful. Why get a bayonet when you have a normal knife, even if it is an extended range.

Because you don't want to get close enough to the enemy to use a knife, let alone even a bayonet. You WANT range.
