Ok so ive been seeing many posts about this and i will inform u on all the upd and downs on these 2 systems:
ps3: Yes it is expensive at like what 399 or 499 right now? Anyways recently sony has debated and decided to lower the price 100 bucks, so that should get their cash flowing. Also, it is a blue ray disc player which is fancy and nice, and do cost some $. No they dont have all the games the 360 has but cmon its sony, also known for their great abilities.
the 360: Ok most people prefer this. It has nice games, an mp3 player (is the ps3 1 also? im not sure) doesnt play blue ray but plays dvds. Has xbox live, and the price is pretty reasonable. The only downside to the 360 is the glitches, the errors and viruses. Very common so if you plan on getting one make sure its new not refurbished,and dont get the arcade (199 Bucks) because it doesnt come with a hardrive (100 bucks.) Get the pro instead it comes with the hardrive a headset and 2 games: lego indiana jones and kunfu panda.
Overall: Recently a gaming mgazine did a comparison with the graphics between the 360 ps3 and pc. The 360 and ps3 had were the same, while as always the pc is pretty tricked out.
My opinion: I have a 360, and ive been pretty happy with it lately. Though getting kind of nervous im gonna get the red rings of death or something. But games like halo3 and gears of war2 pay off for it, but in the longrun, i would recommend the ps3. I mean cmon its frikin SONY!!!
meh that magazine is BS... first off it was probably testing on 720, or 480... not the true 1080i cuz then it would realize how superior the graphics are... Im playing Marvel alliance (i know kiddish but has 1080i graphics) and the characters looked pretty much like actual ppl.. No pc game has been able to do that... No to mention most pc games dont rlly have great graphics, due to the lag online, andthe fact that most graphic cards out there that are affordable (50-200$) aren't very high quality... Overall Ps3 is my favorite.
I Really Prefer The Ps3 Because For 1) Thing It Has Awesome Games Like Socom Rachet And Clank God Of War And A Bunch More Than I Have Time To Think Of 2) They Crash ALOT LESS And Are A Safer System To Invest In 3)Yes I Do Relize They Are Expensive But They Are Worth Every Penny 4) The Internt On A PS3 Is Free If Your Are Readeing This Then You Too Could Play Playstation Online 5) You Can Download Music Pictues Videos And Game Demos On Them And Tha Is All I Can Think Of For The Moment
for all of the people that say the xbox breaks down alot it dosnt as much as u think and it comes with a 2 year replacement plan and ive had mine for 2 years and the only problem ive had with mine is about 3 times a game froze and the day i got my xbox 360 i spilt pop into the hard drive filter systm area so it went through it and came out the bottom and it still works fine lo l and that is not a joke thats a true story. and for the people that say sony will make a big comback remember that there has bean a quote saying they might cancel playstation do to it being the lowest profit systm out atm the only thing it beats is the ps2 and the things that beat it are in this order best to lowest
360 always rules. i play the ps3 at my friends, and its got great graphics, but every 15 minuste my friend had to restart the ps3 because it froze... my 360 is fine and continues to be great.
i have a 360 but alas...dialup so no live for me and even though pso is free i prefer my xbox for the games and graphics also the controllers just seem to fit better with the knob position
