Do you believe that 2012, is our doom, that the "End of Days" is closer than we presume. Or is it too big to actually see it true. Or are we too naive to understand that the Mayans had such great understanding of the Universe? The main question-- is it true? For it is questionable. For the Mayans have books on which they describe a void beyond what we see. And that was said to be the Black Hole we recently found in the Milky Way. SO is it possible with such little technolgy that they could see all that way and say such things? What do you think?
This is a ridiculous theory... The world is already dying by the hand of the modern man,why help him. This is just like when I was young and everyone was flippin' 'bout the year 2000's bug.Even as a kid I realized it was very stupid. So,no,I don't believe the mayans one bit and yes,I already had the occasion to laugh about this before.
Then how do you explain them seeing the "void" before we did? And we have MUCH better technology. . . it could be true 2012.
But I do think a bout it. because Im not afraid of it. I just merely question it. It can be true. And when and if it happens, you can deny it still. But I want to find out if they are true, just so I can be impressed by them. For they were magnificent.
Some of you ridicule their beliefs yet why? When they were the most advanced culture for their time. They were hundreds of years ahead of other cultures in their time! And some of you want proof... well this is what I can find:
Meteors? No. With our technology and the proclaimed 'deadline' we would have seen the(se) meteors and comets before they hit us.
Void? Possibly, for we have seen it and around the time the Mayans predicted we become aligned with it and it could drastically alter our planet's surface.
Global Warming? No. The ice caps aren't melting fast enough to cuase enough damage to 'end the world' by that date. And the temperature wouldn't even rise a degree (F) in that time either.
So what is it? Hrm? Let's talk about the void.
In the alignment (by theory) this void will have the ability to pull on our planet but not enough to pull us out of orbit. What this means is it can change our orbit, re-tilt our planet, cause world-wide eruptions and vast tidal changes. Let's sum that up: Different orbit = colder climates Re-tilt = climate changes i.e] poles metling World-wide eruptions = Earthquakes, large holes and canyons, smog, Ice-age Tidal changes = Flooding, tidal waves
Darn this theory is acceptable but the date they gave don't make sense to me...As for how they saw it I can't really answer. They couldn't pinpoint such a precise date in the far future it was way ahead of their science, advanced or not.
Well, we're going to run out of oil in about 50 yeats so how are we going to go on holiday by plane? Y2K reminds me of one episode of My Name is Earl. No offence TheSilentOne, you're not very silent and why are posting these weird un-scientific theories? And someone got the void thing from a videogame, just a hunch.
Please don't say the world will 'end' in 2012 because that's our olympic hosting time! (GB) Make the most of life so don't worry about this stuff, but the biggest threat to the planet is man.
