any of you who has a computer(duuuh!) a ps3 or a xbox should try to download the demo of this billiant game.
for anyone who hasnt played the first one ill just give you a hint of the story.
a strange crisis has brewed up in the weapon manufacturer "armacham"´s HQ, where a telepahic commander, developed by them, is going nuts with his clone army. his intentions are unknown. as the First Encounter Assault Recon (F.E.A.R the title) point man, you are send to neutralize the commander, paxton fettel, yet there is something wrong about the situation. as paxton fettel is seen in a completely different location. when arriving, your special forces team, which escorts you are turned into bloody skeletons... something is diffenately wrong. as you move along the lvls, strange visions and hallucinations appear around you... a little 8 year old girl with a teddy bear walking the floors. as you gain further insight you realize who she is. the mother os paxton fettel. alma wade was 15 when she was induced to give birth to paxton. she was locked away for years, before pulling the plug on the project around the telepathic commander. but instead of destroying it, they locked it away. 30 years of suffering, pain and abuse, alma is pissed... and her makers are going to pay for their biggest mistake in life!
as you walk the world of fear, you will see alma almost everywhere. she appears 45 times thoughout the game, but only 25 of them are found in your eyepath. the rest of the times, you know shes there, and you know when shes there... but not nececarily where she is... and maybe shes just there a little moment... no one knows... thats the main horror effekt in the game.
the gameplay is based on funny guns and slow motion, which is, for a 2005 game something of the prettiest you will ever see in the world of special effekts.
for instance you might see the penetrator, a nailgun that has the ability to nail an enemy to a wall. the auto cannon, that sends people flying with a giant cannonball through their stomach, and my favorite, the particle sniper, efficient at long ranges and does more than just kick ass damage... it also turns people into charred skeleton, which is plain fun!
