steam is a online community where you buy and download games.

Has any one on AG heard of freakin' Google? Guess not...

SteamID is a thing to download PC games, and you need an account to play Valve games, like Half-life 2 and Portal.

gameinabottle (gemcraft author) has a steam ID. I had never noticed until now. I have one too, just don't know it. I like half-life...

Yeah, like others have said, its pretty much a game hub that has a community with it, games like teamfortress, half life, garrys mod, and any other game that has source in the title (for example, counter strike source)

I was about to say the same thing.

Darn it, if there is a thing you do not know what is, you search first and ask people later. It just saves a whole lot of time and space.

A thread like this has been made before. I do not see a reason to keep this one open.
