So I was just wondering, we have presets like bold, italics, and so one, but why not make more of them, or llow us to type them in?

For instence on some other forums i can put [move]and these words will move.[/move] but that dosn't happen here. Is there any way we could be allowed to do that?

I believe this has been discussed before, but I'm not sure it matters either way.I'm sure they have a reason for not allowing certain BB codes, and some of them I think have been discussed thoroughly in other threads before.Point is though that I don't think they could do this since,I do believe it was their intent to not allow these certain BB codes, but who knows maybe they just didn't know how to incorporate some of them, but I doubt it.

The BBCode we have now is put for a reason. It's to clarify information and to provide citation to claims. All the rest that are there are just plain pointless. The colors, you know why we can't have those. I don't want glowing text, moving text, underlined text(MAYBE), or giant text.

All this makes spam...fun and humorous. That's a nightmare x10, a nightmare I don't
want to live to see.

Spoiler tags would be nice. Beats the extra long posts.

How does that stop extra long posts?

It doesn't stop extra long posts. It just hides them with a spoiler tag "Click to view." It might be useful for walkthroughs.

Maybe you only want to know how to get past a certain part in an p'n'c escape game because you just can't figure it out but you don't want to spoil the rest of it.

Or a game that has different levels. You could just skim through each spoilered level (so it goes Level 1 *click to view* level 2 *click to view*... instead of looking through the entire post just to find the level you want (Level 1. blah blah blah to beat this level Level 2 blah blah blah to beat this level.)

Oh yes, spoiler tags would be nice.
And I personally would like to be able to use strikethrough ([s])...

But oh well, we have what we have.

Strikethrough is only useful [s]for egregious misuse[/s] if there is a possibility of editing a post. Otherwise, it's just marking out [s]utterly lame[/s] parenthetical comments like I am [s]obviously[/s] doing.

But it's nice to have when applying odd irony. That's really my only reason for missing it.

strike through could be useful for some jokes and such, but I don't know if it could get annoying, since I wonder whether or not it could be contained enough,to where people don't make whole paragraphs with it.Although to tell you the truth if someone was going to do something like that then they would probably do it with bold anyways. So to tell you the truth now that I think about it underline and strike through could be implemented as long as they don't become a problem of being abused in some way,but anything pertaining to the color, format, or size of text to me does not seem like an option.

hrm, yes. i see your ponts as far as color, and size and things go, but a few diffrent styles of text, nothing stupid like the symbol texts, but readalbe ones would be ok.

And i would like to have the italic or strike through ones. Yes, people mihgt abuse them but how would it be diffrent from bold or italics?
