Well, I just learned that Sheik was a popular term for an awesome young man in the 20's.
I thinhk that the LOZ crew tried a little TOO hard to make Zelda's guy form, "sheik" be a little TOO much like a guy.

so you mean they're trying to make zelda look like a transvestite? or that they did a good job at a disguise name?

Ah yes, the Sheik gender problem. I personally believe that Sheik is a girl. Let me prove this mathematically.

Female Video game characters [Hereafter referred to as 'chicks'] are hot. Males are not.

chicks = hot;
boolean awesome = if ( chicks = hot )
System.out.println ( "Sheik's a girl!"
else System.out.println ( "Sheik's a dude!"

I guess my point here is that we except the reality most comfortable to us.

...Sheik IS Zelda, my whole thing I'm trying to point out here is that maybe the guys tried so hard to make sheik be a boy, that it almost turned. Or at least I would have figured out should I have not seen any parody and knew that a sheik was a young fashionable man.

At least, in the Super Smash Bros series, sheik DOES have female breasts.

Though, with the Nintendo 64's poor graphics, I can't tell from Ocarina of Time.
