I think that Merits should be awarded for doing good things, not just post good comments, they should be awarded for making good suggestions.
Suggestions that are aproved should also give the user a Merit, because after all a Merit is something you aquire for doing good things.
thank you for reading, please give your opinion.

I do not think this is a good idea because merits are worth too many poinrs and soon everyone would be getting merits if they did this.

I agree with Lebron...merits are supposed to be very valuable and if they are just given away then they lose thier value

Just given away? It is not easy to get one.

First, the comment needs to be well written. Which is a task in of itself.
Second, it needs to even be found and pointed out to a mod.
Lastly, a mod needs to confirm that it is pretty sweet and give the user a merit.

Furthermore, I like the merit system. If a comment is written well it not only gives other players a good idea of the game, but if the maker of the game decides to make another one he can use the input to make an even better one.

I agree, the suggestions have to be good not just any kinda suggestion. Armor Games can easily sort out what a good suggestion is from a bad one.
So I think that AG should persue this! I fully agree!

First of all "just given away" implies that they are easy to get and worthless.

Secondly, they are worth 25 AP. Which, compared to everything else on the site, is a veritable goldmine. And really are for the games. Merits are the only thing out there to try and get people to make constructive comments on games, for the reasons I have already listed.

But hey, what do I know.

You think it's easy to think of a good suggestion?
Do you realize that is hard for a suggestion to be approved?
the merit wouldn't be "just given away".
If you realize, most of the suggestions here are not aproved it's like 1 in 20 are approved.
You still think it's not a good suggestion.
If so, i wanna see you guys give a suggestion that is approved...
thanks anyway for your opinion.

I Think Armor Games needs more Mods to find the good suggestions the current system is fine its just I've seen some really nice long thoughtful detailed comments from people with no Merits then again the comment was fairly new and they have alot on they're plate to cover.

Well merits are very hard to get (I know cuz i have 22 and they are VERY hard to get.) I think what we have now is perfect. The merit recognition is working perfectly and I don't think anything should be changed.

If you see comments that you think deserve a merit, be sure to up-vote it! We are planning on a system right now that will allow the admins and moderators to see the up-voted comments specifically, and more easily give out merits for them if they are deserving.

Well, i agree mostly with the fact that if merits are given out lightly, they will loose their interest and you won't be tempted to write any further long and good reviews.
