Nice opinion! The are alright, but sometimes they can get pointless and annoying. So I'm split 50/50 on this one. By the way, dumb isn't the best choice of wording.
I enjoy the forum games. They are kool[/i because they allow decent interaction with each other in a fun way. [i]but sometimes they can get pointless and annoying. Agreed, but they are more topics with thought than they are without. Well, some are annoying, but most are rather fun! Of course these are my opinion.
I love the creative forum games, not the constant RPG's. One, they are too much alike from one another, so why not join one? Let the host(ess) do all the work. And another thing, that's mainly the reason why those RPG's die--because he/she quits and/or gets bored hosting it. THOSE are pointless, IMO. My "up side down" game was one of the creative ones, and it is popular at the same time, so that is a plus for me.
"Something" (blah blah blah) person-above-you games, they are repetitive and the creators are just trying to make a game just as popular as the "Rate the above user's fame" game. These co-exist with other forum games, and the younger threads just get in the way.
Then there's the part about lazy, three word posts that people just repeat over and over again. All this that I've pointed out is the reason why Carlie declared the Forum Games...errm, forum, to not give any AP.
It's dumb at some level, but if you're extrememly bored, a forum game is the place to go.
I don't find much interest in those games anymore (anyone remember when the forum game were still in the tavern XD) unless they are unique and actually fun or challenging.
