There should be, because I never look back on my posts. And you're not noob. Nobody is =P

I'm pretty noob. But yeah no editing posts, it's just the way the site was built, and adding in this feature at this point in the site would be hard, from what I understand. I am quite sure there was another reason but I can't remember.

people kept saying that people would say mean things, and then edit their posts. I think that's kind of a lame reason not to have it though.

wow, lige......you were ACTUALLY not posting something funny. Are you sick?

Anyhow, as lige as pointed out, they could use it to cover up flamming or spam. but as Far as I can see, the advantages outweight the disadvantigaes.

mods can do it because they're mods, and according to noname, they have special powers. I'm skeptical.

Since I have little coding knowledge, my understanding is this:

At this point we like to promote accountability (and less work for the adminitration frankly!) To effectively deal with complaints we'd need to be able to view backlogged/archived posts as they were as we already receive complaints only to find the evidence has been hastily cleared up wherever possible.

Having said this, many other forums have an edit post function which seems to run without too much trouble (or so I guess). I can see several advantages to it (even for moderators) and a trust-based as opposed to suspicion-based system would be much more user-friendly...

Therefore the reason the site doesn't have an edit post function yet would presumably be because it's difficult to implement or Dan doesn't want one at this stage. What I do know is that with the new developers, site optimisation is/will be under way and after that is done, the administration may have more opportunity to implement actual changes.

Well thats quite sad, cause I want to edit my guide everytime I come up with a new tactic. Could you programme it in such a way that vulgarities are censored?

Well no, everytime a thread like this pops up. Someone always explains that this far into the site it's too late to implement, it just gets ignored.

well what i noticed is this forum is almost useless cause people always talk about what they want for the site, but they always say they can't do that for some odd reason and some ideas are pretty good.

they should make it something like the about caome back any time and fix it, cause lets say you forgot something you would have to make a whole new.......... what ever they call these and some have way to many its hard to find the old ones.

It'd be a nice addition, but I doubt the creator will go for it, it'd be alot of work for him/her.
