I was baptized and raised a Catholic and I still consider myself one, but I don't believe all that the Catholics do and I've add my own personal beliefs as well. So, yes, I am a Christian, but in my own special way.
Atheist. Not enough proof for religion that believes in gods, and I don't believe in things just for the sake of believing in them, or pretend to believe in them. I'm much, much happy as an atheist, where I can trust my own views on life, then being stuck to a religion that gives you its own ideas, not necessarily your individual views
Mike412 you obviously missed something. Religion is not about proof its about faith and belief in a higher power. Not enough proof is there? Here is my question to you. How did this earth get here?
He probably believes in the Big Bang SuperZagorn. Most athiests think the Earth was created by science, not by a diety. Not harping on you Mike412, just stating a fact.
As for the whole are Mormons Christian issue, I believe yes, they are. They believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, they use the Bible, they have youth groups and church services. How are they not Christian?? Check out my post called LDS Church ~ Mormons to discuss it more so we don't spam this topic.
No problem DarkLadyRaven, I do believe in the big bang. Thing is, the earth could just as easily be explained by something other than religion. Lack of proof for something isn't enough justification to believe in something else. Its a simple answer to a question that's probably much, much more complicated than someone made it in seven days.
Your wrong though, we're just here to be harvested by the Wraith. (Atlantis>>>SG-1)
Seriously though, who's to say that's so far-fetched? If you can believe in some god figure creating the world, why not a bunch of aliens who just want us as food?
Say, I almost am too! I'm excited about mah 13th birthday in a few months~ -------- Mike has a point. I'm an agnostic, not an atheist, purely because it's too early to make a definite call on the existence of a higher power-we need evidence and a better understanding of the worlds around us before we can make the call.
