Is there something wrong with the site? Every time I click a thread, it takes about 5 minutes before it actually shows up. I do not have a slow computer. What is up with this?

It's getting better for me. It's now dropping down to about one minute.

Yeah it's taking less and less time each time. I'm glad about that. Should be back to normal soon.

Their blog is in another site, so it nothing would really change here on AG.

But I'm pretty sure it's on the same server, which is probably the base of the problem.

AG need to buy more space

AG has its own server. So it would need t buy a new server. Unless I'm wrong, in which case you're right.

Constantly being active on AG makes the loading time faster, since the connection has already loaded some of the images and whatever else, sort of like playing Sonny II again after a few minutes. Takes like 20 seconds to load, doesn't it? Same deal with refreshing the site.

He's right. The browser gets used to the website literally. I think it's because it has already saved the cookies and cache, so it won't have to re-save all that stuff.

takes less than 30 seconds for me just wait its just lag

Guess you're right.

It's getting better for me. It's now dropping down to about one minute.

That's great news!

For me, it usually loads almost immediately, or it takes about ten seconds, or I have to wait for almost five minutes. Luckily that rarely happens.

[i]NO! I'm getting addicted to writing long posts again! I thought that was over. Random already warned me about it on the Tavern. But the habit is getting back again I guess.

Not really, cookies just mark where you have been. And caches save things like Sonny 2 not entire sites. So your browser will not literally get used to sites. And to answer how long it takes to optimize, an extremely long time.

The really weird thing is that the Community loads faster on my iTouch then my computer. Maybe it works faster on a broadband Internet connection.

I read that the internet connection between different countries is quite different. So living in country a which is farther to the server than country b still loads slower than country b. This is because country b has an internet connection that is faster than country a. And because distance plays almost no role in internet speed, this should make sense.

I don't know!I have 1Kbps and it loads really fast!!!

I think you're exaggerating. It's almost impossible to buy an internet connect that slow.

The really weird thing is that the Community loads faster on my iTouch then my computer. Maybe it works faster on a broadband Internet connection.

Maybe because the ITouch has a higher priority of getting information from the website than computers, thus resulting in the fat that the server first 'serves' the iTouch.

Very strangely this only seems to be happening to some people. Maybe it's the time that people go on. I suggest to others to go at times that you normally wouldn't, because then hopefully others will not be on or very few.

I think that when the site is backing up, it takes a little longer to access pages. This happens to me too sometimes, but it is always temporary and gets better within a few minutes. Does this happen to you a lot? Or do you often experience 5 minutes of lag?

Our developer is currently working on optimizing the site as well. So the site should only be getting faster from here on out.
