Mario and not just because he is a classic but just like i said in a dfferent place, if we never had Mario then video games would have died. Nintendo and the Original Super Mario Bros. saved the video game industry from failure
no, if u had a basic knowledge of the early history of the counsel you would understand. There was a time when anyone and everyone came out with a game system or video game. Because of this there were very bad systems and worse games, such as Caleco Vision and the ET game. The industry was in shambles and was about to collapse. Almost no one was buying games anymore and all the companies were going out of business. Then The Nintendo company in Japan, which primarily made action figures and plush toys at the time, released the Fami Com (Family Computer) in Japan only. The system faired well in Japan but the Nintendo Company wanted more success so they decided to release the system in the U.S. The Nintendo Company new that they needed a great game for the system to succeed in America so they expanded on a popular arcade character Jumper Man. They gave him more of a persona as Mario. They also changed the systems design from what looked more like the super Nintendo, to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The release of these things was enormous. More people owned that game than the top three selling games to that point in time. Shortly after that people tried to jump on the nintendo bandwagon, but they were making terriable games. So Nintendo made it so that anyone who wanted to make a game for the NES must get it approved. All of these actions by the Nintendo Company saved the video game world. Booyaa
