Well I often go out of my way to flag flag-worthy comments and posts. I was just wondering if Moderators see my name when I flag things. Do they have a record of what I have flagged?
I was just curious because I have flagged about 500 comments and posts that need flagging. Relax! I strictly follow the flagging guide and I am NOT bragging in any form.
Just for the record, do you flag bad comments or good comments?
I dont think your name will show up in the database of flagged comments but im not 100% sure however i think its unlikely. A comment needs multiple flaggings in order to get in that database.
I've heard that flagged posts only go to the administrators. They won't be taken care of quickly, because most of the admins aren't on a lot.
The flagged posts go to a database where they can take delete the post if needed. I asked Carlie about this before, and she said that the person who flagged the comment isn't shown directly. Or something like that.

No, it does not name you directly. But we do review all comments before deleting them, so if people are going around flagging random things, we will know about it.

It's true that they are taken care of by administrators, but it is taken care of quickly. It takes a few flags to get sent to us, but once it is we actually take care of it very quickly. It just might take a while for it to reach us, since more people would need to flag the comment that you also flagged.
I believe that the question has been sufficiently answered by now, so I will be locking this up. Matthewest, let me know if you have any more questions that weren't answered here.
