My idea is to base point scores on the amount of characters/words in a comment or post. If you make a massive (but still fitting one that DOESN'T go into the FR2 map space) post, you'll get your full amount of 1 point, and if you comment a real short little crap thing like "cool" you'll get less than a point, and not 1 point for just 5 words. This will make better comments and a chance to point out and see the people who are spamming without knowing, and those who are spamming. It'd take a whole lot of coding though, wouldn't it?
Either way, it'd help take care of anyone who is spamming, especially to a point where the mods can rest easier and get to the 3 word posts later, and not have to stress out going "AWWWWW, I gotta go spam-delete that games comments..." and etc. etc.
This would mean i'd get already 2 points for practically nothing, Good idea, but I'm not sure if it will work. Then again it's easier to detect spam, and thus easier to delete.
You know, like, nonsense words is under the catchall of "FR2 Maps", i.e. long gibberish that like means nothing. Seriously. But, well, I mean like how can it detect stuff like words that add no meaning? See, what I mean is, and I'm not sure if you'll understand, although you might understand, but I'm not entirely sure if you will, that anything can be like stretched out to something like an unnecessary length that it like sounds like some conversation with like one of those types of people who like use like like like every like other like word, like you know? I mean like how many nonsense, and by nonsense I mean useless, as in not, perhaps, terse prose, qualifiers like can I place here in this very sentence that I am sure you are still trying to parse. Well, that's kinda what I'm like trying to say.
I find like that nonsense gibberish strange nonexistent word-like things "aaa bbb ccc..." as like an argument against some kind of like length-based post filter like note entirely appropriate, you know? Like it's obvious spam, you know? Well, I mean like repeating the same word like "okay okay okay okay" is still like obvious spam, but obviously it's obvious, so I think you can see and I'm sure if you'll agree, if you happen to understand like what I'm trying to say, which shouldn't actually be that complicated, even though there are multiple clauses, which makes this some sort of horrendous mash.
So in conclusion: No, I'm not neurotic. Well, like, I mean, you know, right?
if they got banned and AP cut in half everyone would quit.
I don't think that they should be banned. But as they are spamming for points then the punishment should take points away from them. If they quit over their points being halved then so be it. That just shows how many points mad users there are. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I would think that if all users were aware of the high risk associated with spamming, not many would.

Totally agreed, If you leave for your points being halved you're only member for the points, kinda useless. I would only leave if i would be banned for somethign rdidiculous.
BTW, this is kinda getting oftopic, and this tread already seems to have ended since many ppl say that this idea sounds nice but won't work.

Thoad you might be right about that but how can you call this long story of Gantic spam while it's actually waaaaay longer than it had to be. My posts are more likely short but powerfull than a long story for the same point.
