Flea is not the best living bass player.Bass players like Geddy Lee,Alex Webster,Martin Mendez and John Myung are much better than him.
I highly doubt they display the mastery over all three different types of bass playing that Flea shows, as well as the energy and stage presence he has.

o nice putten Duane Allman on there forgot about him dont agree with chuck berry( he is an amazing playa though) no one person invented rock n' roll it was created by whole bunch of different things molded together. i believe
Yeah I created the top 10 bass players list because I am a bass player and you cannot compare the 2 different instruments so people don't put Flea as #8 because you like Jimi Hendrix better ok Because Flea is the #1 BASS player and Jimi Hendrix is the #1 GUITAR player(in most peoples opinions). Also I put Flea as number #1 mostly do to preference and because he is LIVING (I always put living people ahead of dead but I will make a new list as the best bass players and not put preference or living or dead into account.
