We do not stick to one disaster! Everyday there will be a new disaster that new members can make a plan to!
From Air Raids to Zombies; you will survive it all! <-----------------------| DSC |----------------------->
Alright, the first disaster will be an Air Raid or bombings. And no, we will not go in alphabetical order.

Plans/Scenarios Plans and scenarios should be well thought through and original... meaning do not copy movies; games; TV shows. This means complete copying, though, .... so basing your ideas off them is actually advised!
What not to do | Plans: -Writing plans under 5 sentences; I would survive, I would hide with a gun, etc... -Copying a plan; this would become a immediate Temp. Ban (doing this another time would be a Perm. Ban)
What not to do | Scenarios: -Again, writing a scenario under 5 sentences is NOT gonna fly! (Unless said otherwise) -Copying a scenario; same applies as plans (see what not to do | plans)
For starters, this is a category 5 hurricane. So based off of the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale, the hurricane would have 150 mph winds or higher (fast enough to lift cars and throw them miles) and a storm surge average of 18 feet (the height of the waves and/or flooding).
And the Florida Keys are a series of Islands off the coast of Florida, and, yes, connected by bridges. But depending on which island you are located, fleeing wouldn't be advisable. For you may not get far enough! And not to mention extensive damage to the bridges which connect the islands.
Summary / Pointers: Hurricane winds will be very fast and surged will be very high. Fleeing isn't advised Seek a medium / tall building. Obviously a reinforced steel building, maybe 6 stories. For you have an almost limitless supply of water (from the rain) and food you can bring or you can snack out of the vending machines.
Hope this helps! And if your plan is still crap, you may want to seek another pass time :P
ArmorHero you really need to check up on your history of hurricanes. There have been plenty of Cat 5's in the past, most of which quickly turned into Cat 4's or 3's as they made land fall but Camille was a Cat 5 is 1969,and Andrew was in 1992.Overall there have been around 22 Cat 5 hurricanes in the past 50 or so years(since 1960)but not all of those made landfall as a Cat 5 hurricane.
Off point... anyway get to working on plans! And besides, I only meant the hurricanes that actually hit land as a cat 5. So make plans people. I just gave you big tips and info!
Day 1 Hurricane Delta has been located off coast of Panama and is due to hit Florida Keys in 3 days.
As I hear the news I quickly panic and head to the home improvement store and buy various hardwoods and hurricane screws and nails. I get back to my house and completely cover it with wood nailed and screwed together by the hurricane nails and screws. [Approx. 2 days]
Day 3 Next day and the hurricane will be on top of the Florida Keys [Presently cat. 5]
My house is completely surrounded with the wood. I made myself a "mini-fort" located in my basement of the house. It has a semi-quick escape to the first floor if flooding occurs. It is surrounded by sandbags to soak up some water. [I'm raised 5 feet off of the ground in a bed.] I packaged enough food to last 3 weeks and a supply of fresh water enough for 1 1/2 months. Lastly I'm supporting the basement pre-flooding problem with a pump that is 20 feet off the ground, high enough to spew out water and not take in any. I have 6 flashlights, 20 batteries, 2 life rafts, a crow bar, a hatchet, 8 spray paint bottles, 2 first-aid kits, and 5 water-proof flares. And I have my pet dog Sir.Remedy the German Shepard. He is invincible! And doesn't need food or water! >
