Hi all,
just a topic about ...dun dun dun....braces! I have them and got them tightened yesterday. it hurts!
what are your experiences with braces?

I'm one of the luckier ones, who doesn't need braces at all. Haven't gotten any oral surgery either.

I got braces when I was in 2nd grade. It hurt when they put them on but not so much when they took them off. Now I have this retainer thingy in my mouth and it's been there forever. I can't take it off and pieces of them fall off. The retainer thingy helps keep my teeth straight.

Screw u. Jk. Lucky you. I still have mine. Im supposed to be wearing rubber bands but I don't give a sh*t. Lol. I probably shuld wear them

Braces sound painful, I don't plan on getting them any time soon...

I've only ever had a few friends with braces - I've got pretty much perfect teeth for my part, a gift of genetics - and I have to say, they do look awkward and that they hurt like all hell. I don't envy them for the metal contraptions sticking out of their mouths...

Wow, I just realized how lucky I was that I don't ever need braces.

Anyways almost all of my friends have had them at one time or another, but they haven't gotten them off yet so I can't see the before and after.

Already beat it. I got mine on in June of 2008. They said that they were going to take them off in two years... but... they lied. I have no idea how long they are going to keep them on for. But, it might be another year.

Well, I'm waiting for braces. 2 years ago, my mom told me that I'm getting braces. Then a year later, she said the same thing, and now a month ago, she said again. Just can't take it!!!

You're waiting now, but you won't be a week after you get them.

All they are is an inconvenience. They suck horribly.
