It won't be laggy if you put it on their profile, but it will be laggy if all you have to do is hover your mouse over the user's name. I've already explained this at least twice...

I got a idea ok so basicly when you click on the name it would open the page and in stead of going to the profile it would say "This person is away" and underneth it would say :would you like to leave a comment" and under that "Leae the profile"

I think that is a good suggestion, but the amber for the forum should be changed to something a bit different than red, like blue.

And yes, I have explained why it would be laggy. Read my longer previous posts...

Haha, Amber Alert. Maybe it could be used if you get kidnapped while you're on the forums. XD

But....fer serious...do we really need an away system? The comment walls are not a place for extended chats. Just a quick comment or two. Actual chat programs have an away system....

Although if only people weren't so lazy, they could just edit their about and put that their busy.

There is the unofficial AG chat(forget the URL right now), and actual chat programs. You see all the spaces on profiles for IM client usernames? Yeah...there for a reason.

And if you don't want to advertise that for all to see, ask someone else for their IM username and go from there. Along those lines.

yea i agree with russian people read it once then never read it again and what i said earlier the site already lags enough to go back and forth in the thing

Do you seriously call leaving a comment on someones wall 'live' communication? Are you daft?

Using chat clients will not slow down the site itself. If your computer or internet connection is subpar, then you personally might experience lag.

Now, having a few hundred users constantly posting comments on eachothers walls and racking up illgotten AP...that atleast could slow down the site.
