Ok now my freind said his toe hurt and i said its probly infeccted and his not sure and i honestly dont wanna look or do anything....so he dont know..so he wants me to ask you guys lol...
lol a bit oof a weird question but oh well ill answer it
well im no expert on this but a friend of mine has had toe infection too and some signs of this can be pain, if he can hardly walk or has a difficulty walking, if hise toe is swelling up and also if someone stepping on it hurts like shit there are more sings also like pus and stuff but yeah i think they're the signs, he should go see a dcotor if he needs more info and if he needs to know wheteher its infected or not.
lol and btw i wouldnt want to look either, no offence to your friend or anything
Could be anything from a sprained toe, a severe bruising or something pus-filled, if I'm not mistaking... If it's red and swollen then that's a pretty clear sign to seek out a doctor, just to check...
And I would totally look. But probably not breathe at the same time. *odd fascination of wounds and such*

I did have a problem with my foot. An ingrown toenail hurt me a lot. Fortunately, I suffered no injury or damage as the ingrown portion was removed. Anyway, I would look like Zophia would but I would be freaked out and disgusted.
How severe is your friend's problem. You can describe in more detail for us to have a slight idea of the problem. Why would your friend want help on AG? We are not doctors. Ahem, like everyone else said, I definitely say that your friend should visit a doctor.
I actually have the same thing. My solution was to hold a sewing needle in a flame for a minute and (look away if you are easily sickened) pierced the swollen area. Pus poured out but after I cleaned it and put disinfectant on it, its nice and normal now.

Well, no one needed to burn my toe. The ingrown nail was removed and the pus drained out eventually. Just make sure you don't get a severe case of ingrown nails, the affected finger/toe will be amputated as a last resort.
if it's just a bulge on the outer edge of the toe it's an ingrown toenail... i have them on both big toes...
it hurt the first week now i just live with them, and i'm not getting my toe cut open any time soon *quesy*
if it has pus (white stuff) then it's an infection/blister
i have a permenant scar from popping a huge blister (a rectangle more long than wide i got from burning my hand on the top of the oven while taking out a pizza) on my hand because i was curious what was inside and how it would feel...don't pop them
if it has a little black in the middle before the pink part of the nail even starts then it's a jammed toe...they hurt like hell
if he had it pierced by something that could make a big difference, a few months ago, I stepped on a stick in a lake and it went through the bottom of my foot, and left a splinter about 1/4 inch in, and it tore cartilage or something like that, so I couldn't walk without help for a few days
