Love in my opinion is the willingness to accept what one is and a commitment you make wherein you accept that person and their flaws no matter what happens. It's a process that can only be shown through a day to day basis. Love isn't easy it's probably the most difficult thing but it sure is worth it. Love transcends all material possessions and worldly ambitions it is the very thing that we thrive upon.
But really, realation ships now really don't mean much. Teh pintless "I love you's!" Are all just a game. We don't understand love.
I get what you're saying and it's partially true many people have turned relationships into meaningless I love yous or just a way to boost their so called reputation but not all people are like that. Lust is a game Love isn't.
