A long topic title is usually unnecessary and troublesome. That is why there are so many one word topics.

If you mean one word titles, then that isn't really a problem (though completely non-descriptive titles are annoying).

If you mean one word OP (opening post), then it's because people are to lazy to make proper threads. Threads with only one word in the OP are likely to get either locked or deleted.

This one gets locked because I don't really see what there is to discuss here...
