to everyone out there i want to see what love is to you? because the word has broght a lot of pain to me and im sure it has broght pain to everyone out there. please post your suggestions here you may help someone or you may not.
Love is complex and simple at the same time. It shares ties with both grief and companionship. It is perhaps one of the strongest of all feelings, both positively and negatively. Especially in the USA, people don't get married unless they really love each other, because America isn't like other countries where either their parents pick for them or they have very little say in their soulmate.
im going out with a girl right now we started going out 3 years ago and if we broke up i dont know what i would do.
That's not really the point..this thread is about describing what it means to us. So perhaps you should put a little more into how you feel about her.
Love is like what i said before...the feeling a fat fat kid gets when he eats chokkie cake..but the when his about to have his first bite..its gets taken awway by a hungry doggy..i mean vicious fluffy doggy.
Well, i'm just a kid and dont know much about love. Sometimes it is wonderful, but sometimes it hurts. But from jaza_m, i learn new point of love. Love is like a chocolate that is eaten by a greedy fluffy doggieh. =) lol
Love is always there, but whenever you try and find it, it runs away. Love leaves you crawling, wishing that you can feel its warm embrace, but it's almost never within reach. Love is the thing you should cherish most, not of looks, or relations, but rather the hapiness you feel when you're with the person you love. Love is an ability, and not everyone has it. Love is the bluebird that looks so beautiful, but only when you don't pay attention to it, it comes to you. Love is the pain that makes you wreck, but the feeling to have love was something extravagant. Love is the greatest feeling, if it's true. And that was my cheesy thing trying to depict love in a poetic (yet with no meter, rhyme, etc. etc.) sense, and appear that I have a soul and that I am deep. However I think that it worked the other way because I tried. I do not have a soul. Thank you and have a nice day.

Well the metaphore that love is the chocolate that the dog eats; Who, or rather what, is the dog? It's a little confusing to me. Sweet but deadly I suppose? Weird metaphor/analogy...pretty good though.
It's a feeling of comfort or pain. If you love someone and tehy don't like you It's horrible. Your constantly thinkin about them. Or It could be what I said before.
Cliche as it may be, it does make the world go round. Be it love for money, fame, power, for another individual or for anything that would give someone a reason to take hold of another day.

Yes. I am not going to try and explain love as I see it, because to me it is both the best and the worst thing ever happening to me. But I think the song quote sums it up. Good and bad. Like blacking out when being choked. Like crashing into a door when you have broken your arm...
