How is it one careless match can start a
forest fire, but it takes a whole box to
start a campfire?

Mmmmm, I'm no fire expert or fire starting expert but I think it has to do with the fact that if a match is dropped in an open forest, there is a lot more that is burnable(you know fallen leaves, and stuff just laying on the ground)...but in a campfire, it is open and usually in the middle of a dirt pit of some sort(Fire + Dirt = Are You Trying to do Something???), and there isn't a huge amount to just let it go crazy all the place...

At least that's what I would think, I don't really know, never started a forest fire or a camp fire before, probably far off from the real answer(assuming there is one) XP

So you have to buy more? lol?

???
Well yeah afterwards, you can't exactly go use the same crispy match to do it again o_O

Oh haha......wait, well you do know that a Mod, would rather lock that one instead of this one.

And I really can't just post in that one. Unless it has more information regarding this topic then this one. Otherwise I'd be spamming.

Alright, locked as per request!

A campfire has to be lit in any godforsaken wet, windy or just plain "non fire" condition whereas a really raging fire is like your campfire done on a "extreme fire danger" day.
